Custom Dotnetnuke (DNN) Skin Design

New CSS based DNN skin and Blog customisation for Rhoek.com

Location: Site News

As you'll notice if you've visited this site before, I've just swapped skins to a new css based, Search Engine Optimised, sleek design.

I'll be making some amendments to the content, and further customising the blog module so it's laid out more like I want. However in the mean time I'd be really interested to find out what you guys think of the new design, so please leave a comment.

I'll be adding another post after I've finished all the customisation, outlining the advantages of the new design, and letting you in on a few future ideas.

I've been following your designs for a while now. You change your site very often - all of them are very good. They're very "web 2.0". <br><br>I've seen plenty of dnn sites - yours stand out the most. <br>keep up the good work

Michael, thanks for the comment. A web2.0 look seems to be the way forward these days, bold, easy to navigate, clear layout. I like this style a lot, although it's not the only one I do. In the past I have changed the sites appearance quite a few times a year, mainly because I've never been happy with the look of it, however I'm pretty satisfied with the look of this skin so I'm going to build on the current design with better content and template skins. Dotnetnuke is a great framework to work with, although I think sometimes design comes a sad second to functionality in it's implementation. I've try to change that with my site, making the look and feel of the layout just as important, which I'm hoping comes across.
